The Shelter for Expecting Mothers is a ward at the Nyanyadzi clinic that was build by another organization some years ago but left unfinished and uninhabitable.

NACOD organized and recruited local contractors and project managers to coordinate the purchase of supplies needed to complete the building. Fixtures such as installation of running water and electricity as well as painting and paving the interior were completed.

This ward was purposed to house pregnant women who are at risk as well as to give them the medical attention they may need without the delay of having to journey to the clinic when complications occur. The whole operation was funded by NACOD.
